It should be of no surprise to us that one of the most sought out retail names in fashion has decided to expand – and by doing so, opened a new place close to home. With having about forty-six stores across Canada, JACK & JONES has ventured outside of the box to launch a newly designed concept store, at one of the “most prestigious” shopping centers in North America – Yorkdale Mall.
“When we designed the store concept, it was imperative to us to create a department store feel within one retail location a shop-in-shop.” The concept store which recently launched is a 2432 square feet home – and unlike their other retail locations, this new layout design created a fluid flow which showcased all of its sub-brands under the umbrella of JACK & JONES. “The goal of this new design is to better communicate the individual style and unique story of each brands under JACK & JONES.” This would be the first of its kind in Canada and third worldwide.
When I attended the media launch on Thursday, October 17th, I immediately noticed that by breaking up the store into a boutique like concept of “a store within a store,” they were able to present a wider variety of style in a more organized setting. Another thing that immediately caught my attention was the “sub-brands” of the label; each catering to the specific style and need of their customers – not just for the sake of filling the floor with randomly selected articles of clothing, but to carefully curate the image of three out of the five distinct labels that will be carried at Yorkdale Shopping Center.
The three labels that will be curated by Yorkdale (based on personal thoughts) are:
(1) ORIGINALS by Jack & Jones –> equivalent to “street style” apparel – based on what is trending and ability to maintain its raw individuality of “what is Jack & Jones”
(2) CORE by Jack & Jones –> a clean streamline of various graphic prints and designs, giving it an industrial look that features its crisp and sharp ruggedness
(3) PREMIUM by Jack & Jones –> a classic men’s collection of fitted shirts, sweaters and cardigans. Quoted to represent the “New York hipster story”
Alas, we can’t stray away from the basics and its foundation blocks of JACK & JONES. Being the leading European producer of menswear, with more than a thousand retail locations worldwide, denim continues to be the strongest contributor

Q: When did you first start purchasing from Jack & Jones? And where?
A: six months ago, in Doha Qatar.
Q: What was your first purchase at Jack & Jones? And what kind?
A pair of jeans, low-rise.
Q: What did you think of Jack & Jones?
A:”Their designs are sleek and they are designed in a way to fit different shapes. They always look good! Especially the knees down – they have a distinctive cut, pattern and stitching. Also can’t forget the material that they use, it’s functional: durable and breathable.”
Q: Would you recommend Jack & Jacks to others?

Q: When did you first start shopping at Jack & Jacks? And what was your thoughts?
A: “On a winter’s night. The sun was setting behind the dark sad clouds. I was walking down the street when my eyes suddenly gazed upon the shiny amazing place – it was like never-land for adults who enjoy basic comfort. I opened the door and went in – and it changed my life! I looked at the blue sea of blue materials and I was like, “my dreams has finally come true; one place for every style of denim that I can think of.”
